QUICK LINKS |

Summer, 2008
DEAR RESIDENTS OF HOUSE DIRSTRICT 108, With the high cost of fuel, you may be "staycationing" closer to home this summer. Don't worry, however, there is plenty to do right here in Maine. Click here to access the dates of some of Maine's many fairs and festivals. You can find more information on agricultural fairs at www.getrealmaine.com/visit. Information on festivals and other events can be found at www.visitmaine.com where you can also request a travel planner and guidebook. I also thought you might be interested in some of the changes to hunting, boating, fishing and ATV laws that were made during the 123rd Maine Legislature. Click here to see the most recent fish stocking report from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. For more information on these topics, please visit IFW's website at www.maine.gov/ifw. There you can buy hunting and fishing licenses or register an ATV online, search laws and regulations or apply for an any-deer permit (due August 1). If you would like a fishing, boating or ATV Laws and Rules book, please contact me. I hope you find this information useful. Have a safe and fun-filled summer and, as always, please contact me with any questions or concerns about state government. It is an honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative. Meredith Strang Burgess State Representative, House District #108 Sincerely, Rep. Meredith Strang Burgess State House Representative District 108 Cumberland, Long Island, Chebeague Island and part of North Yarmouth |
